Editorial policy
Stellar Comedy Review aims for lively, careful writing about comedy. We separate description from opinion, check factual details before publication and make clear when an interpretation is ours rather than a settled fact.
Accuracy and context
We check names, titles, dates and other factual claims against suitable available material before publication. When a point is uncertain or accounts differ, we say so rather than smoothing over the gap. Reviews and interpretations are identified as such and supported with the reasoning behind them.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. A collaboration or partner placement does not determine our editorial conclusions, and we do not imply that a mention is an endorsement.
Corrections
If a published piece contains a material error, we correct it and clarify the change where appropriate. Readers can send a correction request through the Contact page; useful reports identify the article and the point in question.
Paid and partner material
Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly identified as such, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, the artwork or its caption will make that clear.
Every laugh has a little architecture
We enjoy the joke, then look at the choices beneath it: the expectation, the turn and the voice that gives it life.
